Vietnam Airlines to provide on-board phone technology

Vietnam Airlines has been given the go-ahead by the Ministry of Post and Telecommunication to provide on-board telephone service for its passengers, the national flag carrier announced.

With the new service, Vietnam Airlines passengers will be able to make domestic and international calls on board. The company will initially provide the service in its fleet of six Boeing 777s and later in other kinds of aircraft. However, the service will be provided initially for Business Class only.
