VIETNAM NORTHWEST BIKING

(09days/8nights)

Day 01: Arrive Hanoi  

Welcome at the airport by local guide and transfer to the hotel. After check-in, climb into a traditional cyclo (pedicab) for a 90 minute tour of the colonial city’s traditional “36 streets of 36 wares” in the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake vicinity. In the evening enjoy a traditional water puppet show before dinner at one of the finest restaurants in town and overnight at the hotel in Hanoi.

Day 02: Hanoi City  

Today, we have half-day tour of Vietnam’s capital city, including Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum and traditional stilt house, the Ho Chi Minh Museum, and the revered One-Pillar Pagoda. After lunch, continue to Ethnology Museum  where after finish the Museum, you spend a couple of hours for trying your bike with assist of our mechanic to make sure you will have a comfortable and good bike for a big journey. Dinner at restaurant to meet your biking leader for tour briefing. Overnight at the hotel in Hanoi.

Day 03: Hanoi – Pa Khia  

After breakfast, we leave Hanoi by vehicle to join the highway No 1 lead up to Lang Son. After lunch at local restaurant, we start to bike on a small road snaking along beautiful stream and mountains. There are many possibilities for photo en route and we might have chance to visit Pa Khia market if falls on date. Dinner and over night in the village.

Day 04: Pakhia – That Khe – Quang Hoa  

Wake up in the morning and have your breakfast. Say goodbye to the family and cycle up to join the highway No 4 with stop for lunch at a local restaurant in That Khe. Afternoon, we will join in a small beautiful road up to Quang Hoa. Quang Hoa is a beautiful valley surrounded by scenic mountains and rice terrace. We will have dinner and spend the night in a bungalow at one of the most beautiful village near Quang Hoa. Evening is time to talk to villagers.

Day 05: Quang Hoa – Cao bang  

From Quang Hoa valley, we are cycling through the most beautiful road up to Trung Khanh and Tra Linh towns with visit to villages en route. Arrive in Cao Bang at the end of the day. Dinner at “Lau” Restaurant and over night at the hotel in Cao Bang.

Day 06: Cao Bang – Ba Be  

Today is one of the most challenges day throughout the trip. We’ll drive from Cao Bang to Nguyen Binh with stops en route for photos and visit to Ethnic villages. Lunch at Nguyen Binh town then and start riding from the top of the pass down to Babe. Some skills are required on this road. Take a boat cruise to the boatmen village. Dinner and over night at a bungalow house in the village.  Good food and comfortable night.

Day 07: Babe  

After breakfast, a whole day boat cruise to visit Ba Be lake, take a hike to the Grand Tree market if falls on date. Visit water fall and lunch at Ong Pirate restaurant. The tour Leader will find the best place for swimming. Return to the village for overnight.

Day 08: Ba be – Hanoi   

Today, we say goodbye to the family you spent 2 nights, biking through Cho Don and Bac Kan. Lunch in Thai Nguyen and drive back to Hanoi. Arrive Ha

noi at the end of the day. Check in hotel and free to relax until the farewell dinner at the restaurant in town. Over night at the hotel in Hanoi.

Day 09: Hanoi – out

Free until transfer to the airport for flight out. End of trip
